About us
Guests at Little Abbey Farm are assured of a very warm welcome from Diane Howlett (and Jess the dog!). Built in 1712 from reclaimed stone of the now ruined Pentney Abbey, with the stables annexe converted in 2002 to provide four ground-floor en-suite rooms, Little Abbey Farm has been consistently rated four stars and silver standard by tourism inspectors. Each private room has been enhanced with personal touches such as fresh flowers and boasts far-reaching rural views. There is a cosy private lounge for guests use, with woodburner in winter and a range of traditional board games or modern DVDs.
If you are looking for a retreat away from the bustle of everyday life then take the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing stroll around the 100 acres of paddocks and farm trails, with points of interest marked for information. You might even be lucky enough to spot a barn owl swooping over the fields, and will certainly see an array of wildlife and native birds darting between the hedgerows.

The working farm is almost wholly self-sufficient with crops grown on site to feed the range of farm animals. Take some time to watch the cattle as they wander peacefully in the meadow or check out the ducks swimming and diving on the pond. Big boys and small will marvel at the enormous farm machinery tending the land on this genuine working farm.
A hearty breakfast of free range eggs and home made sausages is a great way to set up the day for exploring the stunning North Norfolk coast nearby or the numerous sites of historical interest such as HM Queen's official country residence at Sandringham, a short drive away. After a long day of sight-seeing, tuck into delicious home-cooked meals made from produce and meat reared on the farm.
